George Joseph died from wounds on 14th November, 1914 after having been brought back to the United Kingdom but as yet, there is no information, as to when and where he was wounded. The 1st Black Watch battalion were part of 1 Brigade, 1st Division that had arrived in France in August, 1914 and had been involved since then in the fighting on the Aisne and also the defence of Ypres. |
